Happy November and a Series Name drop?
This week: My book is with betas, I finally landed on the series name, and wow that was the longest October ever amiright?
Nic Cole’s Corner is a biweekly newsletter from romance author Nic Cole with all things book updates and babbling about current hyper-fixations.
Hello?? We’ve got a Series Name! Can you believe?
You might think that I’ve shared this with people previously but, in fact, this series name came to me in the last week after waffling over it for forever. This project has been called Dreadful Desires for many many many months. But, alas, as I was thinking about the cozy small town energy of the books I decided it didn’t really jive. (Also I have a much more chaotic idea for the future that I think will work better with Dreadful Desires, so stay tuned on that).
So, Fated in Fage, came to be! Fage is the small town this series takes place in, a town surrounded by an expansive forest with a big beautiful lake with gazebos lining it. Home to witches, werewolves, and vampires, there’s also quite a bit of cozy fun magic happening. We’ll follow characters finding each other, finding love, and making a little magic 😏
Here’s another fun little vibe graphic to get you excited for book 1 (to be titled)!
What am I up to? Glad you asked.
Book 1 of Fated in Fage is with my beta readers! How exciting (and terrifying). I’ve basically got the month of November sans book so I’m actually starting to toy around with Book 2. I’ve got it mapped out pretty well and will probably start drafting soon just to get things rolling. I’m not going to tease anything too much because I don’t want to jump the gun on things but it’s an F/F and workplace (kinda?) romance. If you ask me, I think it’s going to be very good. You’ll meet one of the FMCs in Book 1.
That’s it, I’m not giving you any more. Will be sharing more about Book 1 in the next couple of months (hopefully). I’m planning on a early-ish 2025 release, maybe March or April? Don’t hold me to it thought…I want to get this book in your hands as soon as possible I promise! I just also know myself and want to set myself up for success (and manageable stress).
I promise you’ll be the first to know when a release date is set.
That’s all for now! Wishing you a wonderful start to November.
